Dear Victor, I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the prompt and efficient service that was provided by Clare. On short notice, she sorted thru a number of problems and really put together a great package. It is not often that you get such service anywhere and it was a real treat for me, not being a Mandarin speaker, to have Clare's help in completely organizing things for my Mother and Aunt's visit so promptly and so well. You obviously have put together a good team there and I thought that you should know how well they are doing. Sincerely, Joseph E. Rogers

Victor, Hello from the US. Well we made it back in one piece. With all the touring and the work I had to do we were very tired. I wanted to answer your questions and also ask you to follow up with Karen (or the Frienship Store in Beijing) to see if she got my email I sent her on the carpet situation we have. I will address your questions and your inquiry on the arrangements first. I want to let you know your planning and the guides and drivers you provided were EXCEPTIONAL. The trip meet all my expectations and was outstanding in every way. Given the limited time we had, you and your company did an outstanding job of maximizing our visit. Starting with Shanghai, I want to thank you and Shin for the tremendous job you did taking care of my wife and son. You made their visit very comfortable and pleasurable. Unfortunately, I had to work, and was concerned that they would not have an enjoyable time getting around without me. I travel quite extensively, so am comfortable with differences in different countries. They have traveled abroad, but always with me. Your guide was excellent and showed them the sights and culture of Shanghai. In Beijing we were meet by Karen and our driver Yu. They both were GREAT! Great personalities and very knowledgeable of the area. We visited the City sites, the Summer Palace and the Wall as well as other memorable sites. Karen was courteous and very helpful. We had a great time and she was terrific. She also meet us on our return to Beijing and had flowers for Patti's Birthday. That was very nice and we appreciated it. Xi'an was our next stop. Daisy was our guide. She was wonderful. She helped us at all the sites. Our highlight was obviously the Warriors. They are terrific and the real goal of my trip to China. She helped us learn Chinese words and phrases and got us through many sites with a lot of fun and pleasure. Guilin was the last stop and our guide, Mo, was wonderful. The River and the different sights in Guilin were breathtaking. We truly had an enjoyable visit. The Ancient people and the River Cruise were a must see and we were glad we elected to go on this part of the trip. All the hotels, food, transportation and people we meet were wonderful. We could not of asked for nicer weather or nicer people. China is truly a wonderful country and we look forward to coming and visiting again. From the initial contact with CITS over the internet with Victor, to our leaving there was not one problem. Victor did an outstanding job of following up in Guilin when we were there and again with an email to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Everyone's attitude, personality and knowledge was outstanding. The food was great! We were stuffed at every meal. Logan even learned to use Chop Sticks with EVERY meal. I was a bit concerned that Logan would not eat, but was surprised to find he tried EVERYTHING, and ate almost all the items he tried. We only ate at the KFC (in Xi'an) once the entire trip and that is because Logan had a craving for French Fries! Otherwise, we ate at the local restaurants for every meal. Karen, Daisy and Mo were especially attentive to Logan and he really enjoyed being with them. We would like to see them again on another trip. In closing, I will certainly use CITS again for bookings in China and would highly recommend them to others and would be happy to be a reference for anyone. Thank you again for the wonderful time. Regards, Bill, Patti and Logan. Bill Carothers Hewlett

I wanted to write to you to tell you how much we enjoyed the trip to Guilin and Yangshuo. Our guide was "Lisa" and our driver was Mr. Bai. Both of them did an excellent job of getting us to the right places, working around the weather, and making our trip pleasurable. This was an excellent experience for us and our daughter, and I have already recommended the trip to several of my colleagues. Please convey our best wishes to Lisa and to Mr. Bai. Dr. Bruce A. Dear Paul, I just want to tell you that we had a wonderful trip in China. The local tour guides (wendy in Wuhan and Jim in Chongqing) were very nice and punctual. The service on Princess Sheena was also excellent. We may consider another trip to China next year. We would like to see Guilin, Xian, Beijing, Shanghai and perhaps even Tibet. The time is yet to be determined, but it probably will not be in the summer. It also depends on when we can get the free tickets using our frequent flyer miles. We may consider flying into Beijing and leave from Shanghai or Hong Kong. Thanks again to you and Victor for making all the arrangements. If you have a chance to visit the US please stop off to see us in Pittsburgh, Best Regards, Al and Diane

Dear Paul, We are back home safely. Many, many thanks for the very professional way you arranged our flights/hotels and transfers. Everything was exactly as specified. You, really, made this trip seamless. Will definitely recommend your organization to our friends, Cordially, Igor Rebrin

Dear Victor: This is my first day back to work. The trip in China was wonderful especially the tour at Guilin. Thank you so much! Wai Lai stays back in Hong Kong. I continued my trip to Taiwan ( my last visit was 18 years ago), I also experienced the 6.7 scale earthquake. Weather was hot, but when you saw all the smiling face around you, nothing matter any more. It is very sweet, when you soak yourself into the childhood memory. Thanks again for the wonderful trip ! Susan Li was guide to a party from England from 19th to 21st May. I wish to send you my comments on her performance. Throughout she was concerned for our welfare and did everything within her power and ability to make out visit memorable. She always arrived at our Hotel well in advance of the time for an outing and before leaving she checked the times of out next activity. Whilst in the coach, she kept us informed of the places we passed and also the activities of the local inhabitants, particularly the growing of rice crops. Also she informed us accurately of the recent social and political developments in China, especially the education of children and young persons. The boat guide gave the commentary on the Li River cruise but Susan Li's commentary through the Reed Flute Caves was wonderful. Her descriptions were clear, informative and sometimes humorous. Susan Li's English was excellent and she taught us a few phrases in Chinese. She was undoubtedly the best guide we had throughout the tour. She is an asset to the CITS and to China. I hope many more parties will have the benefit of her knowledge, charm and humour. Thank you for providing such an enthusiastic guide for our visit to Guilin. Yours truly Eric Heaf

Zhang, There is a phrase in English,"He goes the extra mile". It means that an individual goes beyond what would be usual or satisfactory to help someone or a group. You certainly did that in all ways. At times some people needed a bit more help than would be usual, you made it work and maintained a pleasant attitude. Your willingness to add the cultural aspects of life in China pleased me greatly. I was fascinated by your introduction to Chinese characters. I am pleased to have an idea that there is logic to at least the more simple ones. I have often wondered how in the world the language was composed. I appreciated your sharing your experiences with the cultural recollection with us. I will never see a bamboo plant or painting again without thinking about you and the time that you spent with "the girls" these past two weeks. I will try at home to improve my skill using the book and your examples as my guide. Thank you very much for being such a capable, willing, creative and patient interpreter of your country for us. Sincerely, Judy Lampert

Dear Sir: We have recently been on a tour of China which included your beautiful city of Guilin. Of the many stops and tours we had on our journey, my husband and I thought that Susan Li was one of the most outstanding guides we encountered. Her command of the English language was very good. She was clearly understood and expressed herself well. Her sharing of her personal experiences made a powerful impact on us. We enjoyed hearing how the people of China have lived and changed over the years. Her sense of humor added to our enjoyment of our Guilin experience. I highly recommend her. She is very competent. Sincerely Gail Kearns

Hi Paul: We are sitting in the Rosewood Café in Yangshuo catching up on email, and I thought I would send a note telling you again how much we appreciate all you've done for us. Also, just a reminder to phone Victoria on our behalf and let them know that we'll be arriving late tonight! Thanks. Linda.
