We are committed to giving our customers an authentic China experience not just something staged for tourists. Read feedback written by our customers about their experiences in China after they have returned home. These include the ratings and comments on attractions, guides, activities, hotels and food. Would you like to look at the tours that 1340 previous customer have recommended?

Angela, you were always on the ball and quick with your responses to my questions. Nothing bothered you. It was a pleasure to deal with you. The tour arrangements were extremely satisfactory. They certainly covered everything that we wished to see and visit. They were very timely and our Guides were willing to change itinerary if we so desired or swap things around if the heat was too much for us at the time and made sure things were suitable for us. I will, and have already done so, continue to recommend your service. It was a pleasure to be involved with you. We have got very efficient experienced Travel Services. All the guides and drivers were extremely polite and courteous and very friendly towards us. I would suggest that you advise your future guests to bring/purchase an umbrella ?especially one that will keep the sun off at the beginning of their tour. Not many western countries use sun umbrellas and with your intense heat it would certainly have been an advantage to have one with us. I noticed that most of your guides carry an umbrella, and they were certainly willing to share them, but personally I would have felt better if I had had my own. An alternative would be to have spares in the boots of the vehicles that could be used. May I also take this opportunity to thank all our Guides and Drivers. All the drivers made us feel extremely safe and comfortable and both Lester and myself who have driven for many years both here in New Zealand as well as other countries, both agreed that we would not liked to have driven in China. All the drivers were extremely courteous and showed us great respect and were extremely polite. Our Guides were all wonderful. Also very courteous, respectful and polite towards us. They were very understanding about my limitations, but also made sure that I was not hindered or embarrassed in anyway, and on a couple of occasions came to my defence. I must particularly thank Helen in Guilin for doing this. Hopefully we will be able to return to China in the future and I am sure that we will see a number of changes to what we saw on this wonderful trip. Angela thank you once again for your patience and wonderful help and experience which made this trip so marvelous. It was a dream come true for me. I have always wanted to visit China since I was a little girl and now this wish has been fulfilled. I have such fond memories of everything we have seen and done, also of all the lovely Guides and Drivers who were our escorts. It was also lovely to meet you in person and thank you very much for taking us out to dinner in Guilin. If ever you are able to come to New Zealand please do not hesitate to get in contact with us as we would love to show you around our city which is very like Guilin. We have 2 rivers running through and there are lots of parks and trees. Alas there is nowhere near the history that you have in China. We haven? even got 200 years of history yet. It now seems like ages ago that we were in China, but you cannot stop the memories. Thank you once again to China Highlights Travel. To all the Management and Staff who made our tip so wonderful.

Dear Leon , We arrived home yesterday from our trip to China. I am writing to thank you for arranging the holiday for us, it was truly fantastic. Everything went well, our tour guides were most helpful and friendly and the drivers considerate and safe. We enjoyed every day of the trip and plan to travel to China again in the future. With thanks from us all. Jan Nolan

Hi Leon, I just got back from my trip to China and wanted to let you know that Robin Schwarz and I had an absolutely wonderful time in China. The guides were excellent and that really made the trip worthwhile. I was a little worried that their English wouldn't be so good but all of them spoke excellent English. I would highly recommend your company to my friends and colleagues. It was a pleasure to work with you and to travel with your company. Sincerely, Christina

Hello Mr. & Mrs Schneider, Angela and I spend 10 days in China, I definitely recommend 10 days to be the minimum. We visited Beijing, Xian & Shanghai. We arrived at the end of Jan and stay through the Chinese New Year (FYI: it's the Year of the Dog). Like yours, it was a private tour. The packet we got included the travel within China, hotel, guide, driver, breakfast, lunch & some dinners and several nightly shows (ie Beijing Opera, etc). I'm sure your're probably a little worry. I did research for about 4 months before our trip. I called the State Department, the American Embassy in Beijing and the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles just to make sure that there were no problems with the tour company or our visit. Please feel free to call me at 910-261-6651(cell-sprint) (NC number but I currently live in Hawaii). The weekend is definitely best time to reach us. Anytime is ok, except your early mornings. Depending on where you live on the mainland, you could be 5 hours ahead ( i.e.easter standard time). You could also give your number and a time to contact you and I can call you. Is definitely easy to discuss our experiences on the phone, than thru email. Sincerely, Jorge & Angela Jorge & Angela

Dear Angela, There is an attachment with this note for the payment of US$2009, for payment in full for two people, including the one night in Shanghai on 21-April, 2004. I bet this is the longest it ever took for any of the travel advisors in your office to get the client to send the payment! Your patience, Angela, has been admirable. All of your department should stand and clap for you in respect for a job well done. I will miss your notes. We are looking forward to meeting you on May 12. Patricia

Dear Angela, Hello. This is a brief note from Michael Frenchman and Karen Crowe, the Americans who met you in Guilin in October. We were traveling with Karen's mother, Marg, who injured herself in Xi'an. I'm sure you remember very well. First, I want to say what a pleasure it was to meet you and how much you and your company added to our experience in China. Next, you will be happy to know that Marg is back in Kansas and has been doing fine since we arrived in Bangkok in late October. Her injury certainly added excitement to our trip. Your guides and drivers and staff were very helpful in easing the burden. Thanks! I wanted to let you know that we are trying to contact the museum in Xi'an regarding the horse sculpture and getting a price reduction. Thank you very much for speaking to them on our behalf. We have sent email to almost all of our guides. We would like to contact our guide from Shanghai, Vivian, but we have misplaced her personal contact information including her email address. Could you give that information to us, please? We have already told many friends about you and ChinaHighlights' excellent service. We hope they contact you when they want to visit China. We certainly will. And, by the way, the dinner we had in Guilin was excellent! If you ever want to come to visit New York City, we would be happy to be your host at our home. Sincerely, Michael Frenchman and Karen Crowe

Dear Brian, The Travel Agent in China is Angela (see e-mail address above). Angela did a very good job for my wife and I. She could organize (door-to-door) a trip from Shanghai on the Three Gorges or a trip from Shanghai to Xian for your wife. Please feel free to contact Angela directly. Regards, Fred

Thank you for your prompt reply of our confirmation. It was thoughtful of you to give information about making telephone calls within China and out of China. Roger

Dear Ms. Gong , I am happy to tell you, however, that I was very pleased with 'Alice," the local CITS tour guide who met us at the airport and took us to the Holiday Inn where we met the Victoria Cruise representatives. Her English very good and she was friendly and welcoming. She was aware of the low river level problem and explained it to us before we reached the hotel. She also stayed with us at the hotel until the problem with our Cruise reservations was resolved, which I found very responsible. I will recommend her to my professional colleagues in China who need a local tour guide in Chongqing. Chris Davis

Angela, Nancy met me at the airport today and she is a delightful young woman!! She took me to the hotel; it is lovely and I decided just to stay here tonight. I went to the gym and worked out and took a nice bath, unpacked. On the way here from the airport I saw how beautiful Beijing is in the evening!! I am thrilled, as all the descriptions I read talked about the pollution, the sand and wind, etc etc and I was unprepared for the beauty I saw tonight. I am excited about the tour tomorrow with Nancy. It will be very nice; she and I discussed what I want to see and her ideas for showing me the best things without too many tourists. I am happy with what you have done for me so far and want to thank you. As for the last message, I never did know for sure about the cabin. I am not worried, as I think it will all be just fine. I was in the Shanghai airport today for 7 hours, bought a book on reading Chinese characters and practiced writing some. Met many nice Chinese people working there who were most helpful and taught me some Chinese words. I had a lovely tea and bought a beautiful tea set there. This is something I have wanted for years ever since I went to a tea ceremony, one at our Art Museum in Denver with a Chinese lady; another Japanese ceremony at the Botanic Gardens. I am fulfilling my dream of being in China at last and tomorrow and get to begin to see all the wonderful sights I have longed to see for so many years. Thank you for your help. (I am copying this to some of my family and friends, so they will know I arrived here just fine. Tomorrow is the Great Wall the Ming Tombs and the Sacred Road with a finale of Peking Duck Dinner!!)
