Dear Elaine, Both my wife and want to thank all at China Hightlights who made our first trip to mainland China such a memorable event. China is awesome ! We were met and taken care of very well. We loved every place we saw. Our favorites were our entire stay in Guilin both in the city as well as visiting the rice terraces,taking the Li river cruise and visiting the local silk factory. The designs at the Guilin silk factory were the best we saw in China. We also really enjoyed the Forbidden City,The Great Wall and the Sacred Way while in Beijing, the Classical Gardens in Suzhou and amazing Shanghai. We did not like the pollution or the habit of the older Chines spitting in public. Consider allowing your western guests a la carte lunches in Chinese restaurants with the guides as the Tour lunches left a lot to be desired We plan to return soon to see more of China and will bring our three chrildren and families with us. Karen, I just wanted to send you a quick email and say that we returned from our Tibet trip and really enjoyed ourselves. I would like to especially compliment the tour guide we had in Lhasa, named Dorjee, who really fit in well with our family and showed us an interesting visit to that city. Dear Elaine First of all I apologize for the delay in replying to your note. I've been rather busy since my return to Ireland. I had an absolutely wonderful time in China. I loved your country and I certainly will return. Overall I was very pleased with the service from China Highlights especially your own efforts in organizing such a long trip at very short notice and I was sorry that we did not meet in Guilin as you had suggested. I was most appreciative of the fact that all my guides were on time and that my flights, trains and the bus from Chengdu to Chonking left on time. There was a minor problem in Hong Kong when the driver who met me at the airport was sent to the wrong gate by the airline but fortunately you had given me the number for the agency and we found each other quite quickly. I am being very honest with you Elaine because I was very impressed with how you organized my trip and I genuinely had a wonderful time. I found China fascinating. I loved the people whom I found to be very warm and very friendly. This was my first visit but it certainly wont be my last and I would definitely consider using China Highlights again. I do not wish you to use my name or my comments but I will certainly recommend China Highlights to people I meet myself. I am a very experienced traveller and I have a deep interest in the places I travel to and the people I meet there. This is why having inexperienced and ill informed guides is such a problem. Dear Angela,

The best things were the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Martial Arts performance, Roasted Duck dinner at Qianmen Dajie, and the Terra Cotta Warriors. Also, the conversations with our guides talking about the culture and daily life in China. The personal information we learned about our guides was very special. We had two wonderful guides and would highly recommend both of them. Peter and Susan are special. Its the personal conversations that we had with them that we will always remember. Thank you Angela for all of your assistance. We had a wonderful time and we want to thank you and everyone at China Highlights. I'll send some of our photos in a couple of days after they are downloaded and I sort through them.

Hallo Elaine, heartily thanks for your services the last four weeks in China! We are back in Frankfurt today after one month's of "AMAZING CHINA". WOW, what a country, what a history, what wonderful people and what a fascinating energy to go ahead and "BE" and "DO", like the Chinese radiate both lots of diversity and at the same time lots of drive going together for the FUTURE! Both I and Albert are very impressed and full of experiences and will be back soon! Here for you some feedback of both strengths and weaknesses in your/our logistics during our journey: * We were all along very happy with the accommodations. Your choice of hotels was overall in our taste, especially the court yard hotels like Bamboo Garden Hotel in Beijing, Suzhou Garden View Hotel in Suzhou and Anting Villa in Shanghai. * We had fun meeting your local guides and drivers and felt overall that they did a good job. * Flights went well and as planned and most train tickets as well. Together with Sabine, Albert and I enjoyed every minute in China - out of 30 days we had 29 days of sun. We loved the food, the pace, the everyday life with the Chinese and all surprises concerning scenic views, history, spirituality, economic and cultural energy - we just learned to love it ALL! Elaine, we will recommend you and China Highlights, whenever we can. For sure, when we plan to go back to China, we will contact you for a new and challenging tour in China.
