Hi Cheryl this is Juan Manuel Morales from Colombia. First I want to thank you, for all your help with the trip of my parents, they arrived safe and they were very impressed with China and with your service. Best regards Juan Manuel Morales A.

Hi,Cheryl, The guides were especially helpful and very knowledgeable. They were professional and attentive to your needs. Each took care of us on a personal level and always were helpful. The fact that every thing was planned for us made thins very simple and stress-free. We knew in advance what we would be doing each day. And the itineraries were not rushed so we could take our time at each location. Cheryl Chen, Sean, Sissy and Leo all did a great job! Thank you for making our vacation memorable and fun!

We all enjoyed very much every place we went but we were very impressed by the Great Wall, the Terra Cota Warriors, the magnificient views through the Yang Tze river and the great cities of Shangai and specially Hong Kong. Let me congratulate your people for the surprise birthday cake we got on Guilin on Sept. 1, 2006 for Pilar′s birthday, it was something that we will never forget.

Dear Karen, I am sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you but we continued travelling to Bali and Vietnam after China and have only recently returned home. We were delighted with your services and help with our trip to China and had wonderful time in you exciting country. Both our guides in Xian and Guillin were also excellent. Foster our guide from Guillin arranged for us to go cormerant fishing which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I do hope these comments are helpful and would not hesitate in recommending your company to any of my friends who wish to visit China. Very best wishes, Carol Franks

Rifai Saleem's Answers' to Some of Our Post-tour Survey: 1. Overall, did you enjoy your trip? Yes indeed. We enjoyed every moment of it. 2. Were the arrangements satisfactory? Satisfactory is an understatement. The arrangement mades were exceptionally good. Not one bit to complaint! 3. Was it what you expected, and if not, how did it differ from your expectations? Well, we were touring for 9 days and actually expected something might fall short or might go wrong, but thanks to Eva and her coordination everything was like clock-work. 4. Were any problems resolved quickly and easily? We had very little or no problems. Once I remeber the bell boy at Hotel Redwall made a fuss about safekeeping our luggage, but the guide "judy" intervened and sorted out the problem efficiently. 5. What was the best thing about your tour? The day we spent climbing upto the great wall was magical! and the peking duck was very delicious! 6. How would you describe your trip to China and the overall experience in a few sentences? A mistique experience, an eye opener for a new way of looking at life. It was also an experience to understand what people power can do when things are organized. We were expecting to see many many people on the road, but we were surprised to see most of the places in beijing were not crowded as much as we expected it to be. This can only be attributed to people being busy indoors and not aimlessly wandering on the roads. A good receipe for development and growth of a country. All the best CHINA!

Dear Elaine Our two days in Beijing were packed full of sight-seeing. Given the limited time we had, I thought that our guide, Sean covered everything we asked to see in a very efficient way but without us ever feeling like we had been rushed through the places we visited. He was friendly and knowledgeable and made out stay very enjoyable. I think China Highlights did everything they could to ensure that we saw everything we wanted to see. I just wish our travel itinerary had allowed us more time in Beijing to spend more time at the wonderful places we visited. Thank you for making our stay such a pleasant one. Karrie Hartin

Dear Elaine, I'm sorry I haven't written until now, but soon after we got back from China, I had to go on another business trip to Washington DC. I've now finally caught up on my work. I wanted to thank you for helping put together such a wonderful trip! It was so well organized -- we had no problems at all. The guides in Beijing and Shanghai were excellent. I would highly recommend China Highlights! Please feel free to use any of my comments on your website. I will send you some photos shortly. I will be making arrangements for another trip to China next September and will certainly contact you when I start making my arrangements! Thanks, again, for your wonderful attention to detail. Best wishes, Lori

Marek Kowalkiewicz's Answer to Our Post-tour Survey: 1. Overall, did you enjoy your trip? Yes. Very much. It was fascinating to be able to learn so many aspects of Chinese culture, architecture, nature, and daily life. 2. Were the tour arrangements satisfactory? Yes. I am happy that the travel plan was very dense, yet not too tiring. I am also happy with the speed and quality of responses to unplanned situation (our boat arrived late and CHT was very quick to rearrange our travel, including plane tickets). 3. Was the tour what you expected, and if not, how did it differ from your expectations? I did not expect that the trip will be so beautiful. 4. What was the best thing about your tour? Great, very friendly tour guides (esp. Natasha from Guilin!), beutiful nature, sceneries. 5. Is there anything else that we should have done, before or during your tour? No, I think everything was just ok. 6. How would you describe your trip to China and the overall experience in a few sentences? Amazing experience, unexpected adventures. We were very happy to be able to experience something that before our trip to China was only known to us from books, pictures, and stories from others. We were also happy, that we did not see China from a luxury limousine, but were able to experience everything by ourselves. I think right now, after spending a lot of time in China (2 weeks of the trip plus more than 2 months living in Beijing) we truly learnt a lot.

Dear Mrs. Angela, thank you very much for your message. In the meantime I came back to normal. I wear alredy normal shoes again and nothing left from my misfortune. I was a bit careless when I left a rickshaw in the Old Town of Beijing. The ankle of the remaining foot twisted in the construction of the footrest of the rickshaw and I fell down. The result was a serious haemorrhage and a swollen foot with a lot of pain making it difficult to run around for sightseeing. When it became more serious in Xi’an I decided to stop everything, including my onward destinations in Japan and Indonesia. Due to this, it was only a short visit to China. But when you are not feeling well, you cannot enjoy such a trip. But even the short stay has shown that you have done a perfect job. Everthing in Beijing and Xi’an was well prepared and it was really a pleasure to walk around with the two ladies in both cities you have selected as guides. We have not followed strictly your programme but nevertheless I learnt a lot about your country also from talking to each other and it showed me how competent the two ladies were doing their job. I wish to thank you for your offer to see Shanghai free of charge. I know of course that you are not obliged for any refund when I leave the tour for personal reasons. For sure I want to see at least the remaining part of the original tour. In April/May 2007 I will undertake a business trip to Japan. May be after this trip I can start in Shanghai again to see your country. Latest in january or february 2007 the exact dates of the japan trip will be fixed and I can contact you for a new program. I promise already today that I will be more cautious during the next staxy and refuse any transportation by rickshaws. Looking forward to my next China adventure I remain with best regards, Ulrich Knoess ++

Dear Elaine, Jan, Nora, Craig and I would like to thank you for the wonderful visit we had in China. Everything went smoothly at each stop and the guide staff and drivers that took care of us were first rate. Getting a chance to meet you at the office in Guilin was special as well. Thank you for the gifts you gave us. We are wondering if you could provide us with the email addresses of the guides because we have some pictures to share? Let me say again that each of them did a wonderful job of making our visit interesting, fun, memorable and safe. We took effort to fill out the evaluation forms as best we could and made some suggestions, I believe. Over time, as we reflect on the trip, we may have some additional comments which I will send on to you. If you have any questions please feel free to write. Thank you again, Gordon Locken
