Hello Eva: Hope this finds you well! I couldn't open the file of the evaluation so I will give you my comments by this way. I am more than satisfied with the service you provided me, actually it was over the expectations, the places I visited during the tour were just amazing and the tour guide and the driver were so kind, patient and helpful. Thank you very much, because you helped me to have the time of my life in Beijing. I was a little bit afraid of hiring a tour by internet because it is always a risk, but I was very happy od choosing your travel agency for this trip. I will recomend my friends your travel agency for their next trips to China, actually any of my friends is going to Asia in august and probably she will contact you soon. Please I want you to make me a favor, can you please send me Allen's (my tour guide) e-mail address? I want to send him a couple of photos and I lost the paper in which he wrote it down. Thank you very much for everything, hope to hear from you soon!

Hello, Elaine Instead of using the enclosed evaluation form, I will just tell you in my own words what a fabulous trip we took to Beijing, the silk road, Shanghai and Hong Kong. My compliments go to you for arranging wonderful hotels, well informed, intelligent, thoughtful tour guides, safe drivers and interesting and educational sightseeing. Everything was organized, including the purchase of plane and train tickets. Our guides were always there to meet us and the fact that we spoke no Chinese was never a problem. We asked to be taken to local restaurants on many occasions, and our guide was always accommodating. The food was delicious in China. The noodles and lamb along the silk road were always well prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. This was an experience of a lifetime. Everyone we met was polite and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone who may be contemplating a trip to China. Thank you for everything. Elaine Gertrude A. Burr

We are avid travellers, and this was by far the best trip we have ever taken. From the planning stage, to the local guides, to having to make changes along the way, we were treated with the utmost customer service. Every single employee of China Highlights that we met (guides, drivers, travel advisor) were professional, courteous, and most importantly kind and pleasant. The arrangements were exceptional. Even when we wanted to leave Lhasa a day early, Elaine and our local guide were able to make the changes for us seamlessly. And when we missed our connecting flight, Elaine sent another local guide to the airport to bring us new tickets. We were so impressed by CH's ability to handle last minute difficulties. Everything exceeded our expectations. We didn't know what to expect in China - we are expatriates from a former Eastern Bloc communist country, but we would never have known that China was a communist country just by traveling around. We had all the comforts of home in our hotels, and the sights we saw were like nothing we've seen before. China was a very pleasant surprise. We were not quite prepared for Lhasa. This was due in no part to any lack of information on Elaine's part, we just didn't research the area enough. In addition to the uncomfortable altitude, the accommodations at the Lhasa hotel were not western by any standards. The staff did not speak English, and the rooms were old, dirty, and didn't have air conditioning. Again, our dissatisfaction with Tibet had nothing to do with Elaine or our local guide, and we understand that our accommodations were the best available. In all honestly, we are simply unwilling to give up certain comforts, and we should have realized that those comforts would not be availabel in Tibet. Problems occurred was resolved quickly and easily. We missed our first flight into China, and after a brief call to Elaine, our local guide was informed and came the next day to pick us up. Leaving Lhasa a day early and missing our connecting flight were problems that were swiftly dealt with. Other than errors on our part, CH did not cause any problems for us, and promptly fixed the ones we created. Your tour guides were very good. Our local guide in Beijing, Samuel was excellent. Samuel was fun and funny, and he was such a pleasure to get along with. Not only did he teach us about Chinese history, but he helped us to understand Chinese popular culture as well. He and I are the same age, so we had a lot in common, but my mother thoroughly enjoyed his company as well. Additionally, through translation, Samuel allowed us to get to know our driver, Mr. Song, who was also very kind and pleasant. Of all our guides, Samuel seemed to understand us the best, and we look forward to remaining friends. We are so impressed by China - the people, the culture, the tourism industry, and of course, China Highlights' service. China has all the comforts of home - excellent hotels, exceptional food - but is so affordable for tourists. The shopping, especially local street markets, is unparalleled in the rest of the world. We would love to return to Beijing and also visit more cities. There are not enough words to describe the high level of customer service that I received from Elaine and our local guides. Having a pre-planned tour made our vacation worry-free and kept us entertained throughout our stay. We have been so impressed by CH and wouldn't hesitate to use your services again. Our trip was wonderful and interesting. We enjoyed Tibet and never got the high altitude sickness. There were some who we met and they did have symptoms. The monasteries are gorgeous. Our tour guide was great in Tibet as well as the driver. The drive from Lhasa to Gyantse was breathtaking even though it was a long trip. Unfortunately there was no toilet suited for Western Tourist. I wish the tourist bureau will have a facility in between for tour to stop. Our schedule ,including our Flights, were all on time Beijing and Xian are also great places to visit. We enjoyed the Beijing Kaoya. It was delicious. All of our tour guide are good and that include the drivers. Thank you very much for all the help and I wish all tour coordinator will be like you. Dr. Gonzalez and Renee.

Tour guide (Warren): He is an excellent guide and speaks great English. He was flexible making helpful suggestions about things we might want to do ourselves, without pushing too much activity at us. He was also humorous and made us laugh and he did everything in his power to make our trip enjoyable Hotels: Both the hotels in Guilin and Yangshou were really good. For 3 star, I had mixed expectations but they are definitely good hotels that I suggest you use again Car: Excellent. Perfect for 3 people as it was very spacious Cruise down the Li River: the highlight of the trip! The boat was very large which I had not expected but luckily it was not full. If there had of been more people on the boat it might have spoiled the experience. Thanks Karen. Helen

Angela, We have just returned from our trip to Bejing and it was EXCELLENT! The taxi was easy and the hotel was helpful. Our tour guide was also EXCELLENT!! She accomodated the changes that we made to our trip because we missed the first day (when the plane was full). Our tour was complete in three days instead of four. Thank you for your help and your assistance! Sincerely, Chris and Sharon Kavanagh Michael and Barbara Lieffering Langley, BC, Canada

Dear Elaine, We had a very enjoyable trip on the Snow Mountain. Many thanks for organising it so quickly. Best wishes, Pete

We had a great time not knowing what to expect in China we were thrilled with our decision to come and visit your beautiful country. The tour was very well organized and the hotels were top quality and all the staff very helpful, the food we had during the tour was excellent. The tour guide we had in Beijing was absolutely fantastic and was prepared to change the itinerary when and where we all agreed it was needed. She gave us tips on markets etc that we visited on her day off and wrote the address etc on a card to give to the taxi drivers. The only thing that we were not happy with were the beds in the hotels they were very hard but you cannot do much about this and with the help of hotel staff and extra bedding we were fine.

We have been very satisfied and happy with this trip; the balance between the program and free time was excellent. Only the last day the program in Zhongdian was too short, but was complemented with the visit of the old town, which the guide kindly helped with. Our three guides were nice, knowledgeable and very attentive to us and to our desires. The accommodations were very good: cars in good shape, hotels well situated, close to points of interest, city center, lake?- We liked very much the san he hotel in Lijiang with its "spouse and concubines" atmosphere. We had no bad surprise, even the flights were quite on time. Our best moments: The Li river cruise with its wonderful and relaxing scenery; the yack meadows visit and the contact with some Tibetan people. We had excellent time in Lijiang at night, with the many people singing and dancing for the festival, embedded in Naxi culture. We enjoyed the visit to one of the last Dongba center and our exposure to this old tradition. The Lamasery in Zhongdian was quite impressive and interesting and we loved the typical houses in the country side. Also we have been amazed and charmed by the quality and the energy of the two shows we attended at night time?-. Things I whish I had known before: I was disappointed to learn that the beautiful and famous Tibetan holy mountain was in the next valley, Deqin, further than Zongdian; I would have tried to include it in the trip; Adding one day, or maybe spending less time at the Tiger George which was not at totally to our expectation. But I suppose you always have to keep something in the back of your mind to come back later. Karen we thank you very much for your efficiency and kindness, which allowed us to set up this wonderful trip in a very short time. Find in attachment some of our pictures that we like.

Karen, The trip is over and I want to thank you for your part in making our trip successful and delightful. We loved Guilin and Cliff (our Guide) and you were right, the night in Yangshou was a plus. Cliff was going to try to locate you by your Chinese name. He heard "Karen said" so many times that he wanted to meet you. One suggestion, the third floor without a lift (Paradise Hotel) is not the best choice for over 70's people. Actually we would have been fine except I injured my foot in Guilin and was hobbling around. The room was beautiful and we enjoyed the hotel. We also loved the night cruise in Guilin, your (and Cliff's) suggestions. On to Beijing - what an exciting city. Zoe was our Guide and an excellent one, as was Cliff. We did the city tour the first day as it was very windy and Zoe thought it was too windy for the Wall. It was so windy that day that we walked into the entrance of the Summer Palace grounds and went back to the car. The Beijing Prime Hotel was an excellent hotel and we were very pleased with it. The weather at the Wall was perfect the 2nd day. Unfortunately, I could only hobble one short section, but Leo did a little more and Zoe went with me to shop for souvenirs. I have a pair of "Ying and Yan" earrings as a result! Zoe really came through when on the way back to the ship, we came upon an accident which had both lanes of traffic closed. It was a tracker-trailer on it's side and Zoe got them to move the crane that was attempting to upright it to move and let us drive through! Thank you, Georga Windsor
